 Wednesday July 1, 2009 Dixon Elected Vice President-Operations for Local Scout CouncilCHARLOTTE, N.C., July 1, 2009 -- MarketComm's Stern Dixon has been elected to serve as the vice president of operations for the Mecklenburg County Council, Boy Scouts of America. Dixon has been a council volunteer since 1989, and a member of the council's executive board since 1993.Dixon has served as the Talahi District Boy Scout Chairman and Talahi District Chairman, and served on the council's marketing committee, endowment committee, membership committee, advanced gifts committee and others. He has been active in adult leader training, serving on staffs for basic leader training and Woodbadge advanced leader training. He has received a number of awards for his volunteer effort on behalf of Boy Scouts. He also serves as a committee member for Troop 118, sponsored by St. Stephen United Methodist Church, where his son, and Eagle Scout, currently serves as the troop's senior patrol leader..
