Dixon Completes Year as American Marketing Association President

CHARLOTTE, N.C., August 1, 2006 -- MarketComm President Stern Dixon finished his term at president of the Charlotte Chapter of the American Marketing Association in July. Dixon continues to serve on the AMA chapter board as treasurer for the 2006-2007 year.

Among the accomplishments Dixon cited for the year was the establishment of a free job board on the chapter's Web site, the implementation of an online newsletter for the chapter, and a major revision of the chapter's bylaws which increased the size of the chapter board from 4 people to 10 people. The larger board helps create "bench strength" for chapter leadership positions and helps increase the number of committed volunteers.
